A new year approches
December 30th, 2006
Christmas is over, and everyone seems to be waiting for the new year.
Lets roll back a few days to Christmas day…
My Nintendo Wii arrived! I was most shocked, seems like Santa really DOES exist, The tale goes something like this:
About 2 months ago, I’d finally managed to convince my parents to preorder a Wii (late I know and I wasn’t hoping for a launch day arrival, but at least before the new year.) So on the day of release, my father checks the status, and the story is something along the lines of “We don’t have any in stock, but we will be able to get it to you AFTER the new year.”
Goodness knows what my dad was thinking, but he had the “genius” idea of canceling THAT preorder, and preordering again from another web site, and before I could stop him to explain that we’d then be moved further down the waiting list, he had already done it…
I was rather annoyed as you may imagine, but, fast-forward to 2 days before Christmas, and the Wii had arrived from the original preorder web site (I did not know it had arrived at the time, Ionly found out Christmas morn.)
See, it turns out, that dad had mistakenly only cancelled the preorder of an extra Wiimote and not the console or games themselves, SCORE! So thats how I got my Wii. I got Zelda (natch) Super Monkeyball (which is AWESOME) and Wii Sports (obviously), and only a few days ago, I managed to find a copy of Wii Play complete with Wiimote, so all’s well that ends well!
I’ve also ordered myself a Navy DS lite from Ebay (I’m still waiting to see if it arrives and if it’s actually what im hoping it is, rather than some cheap Hong-Kong knockoff, if so, heads will roll.
AND… I’ve got myself a contract mobile phone that should arrive on Tuesday, I’m with orange, and I had to phone them up to confirm the preorder and I was amazed at how quick and efficient (and understandable) their service was… but then, they were trying to take my money and most likely, customer support further down the line will be a TOTALLY different turn of events. Time will tell.
What else is there to say at this time… hmmm, Nothing major really I suppose, I’ve signed up to google ads and see if I can make any money from that, but I’ll have to get more people onto my site for that to truly be worthwhile, and before you slate me for it, I’m sorry, there’s no reason for anger, if you don’t want to click the ads, don’t, if you do, great! They shouldn’t stop you from enjoying the site.
Well, that’s all for now,
Have a safe and productive day New Year and see you all after the gongs.

Have your say
